Prof. Dr. Sevcan Tug Bozdogan, MD, born in 1975, is currently affiliated with VariantGen in Adana, Turkey. She completed her medical training at Uludağ University (1993–2000) and pursued specialty training in Medical Genetics at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University from 2004 to 2009, followed by the European Diploma in Medical Genetics and Genomics in 2019. She has held the positions of Associate Professor on April 2016 and Professor on March 2022. Her professional experience includes serving at Çukurova University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Genetics as Associate Professor and Head of the Department (2016 – 2024); at Mersin University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Genetics as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department (2013 – 2016), and at the Genetic Diagnosis Center of the University of Health Sciences, City Hospital in Adana as Medical Genetics Specialist and Director of the Genetic Diagnosis Laboratory (2009 – 2013). Her clinical work encompasses dysmorphology, rare diseases outpatient care, genetic counseling, and management of hereditary diseases, while her laboratory expertise includes PCR, MLPA, fragment analysis, real-time PCR, Sanger sequencing, and massively parallel sequencing (next-generation sequencing). She has been engaged with VariantGen since 2024, continuing to advance genetic diagnosis, treatment, and healthcare delivery.
